What is childlessness? ( Femels Infertility)
If a couple is unable to conceive despite having frequent, unprotected sex for at least one year, the condition is called infertility. Infertility is a problem or cause with you or your partner. Or it could be the result of a combination of factors preventing pregnancy. Fortunately, there are several safe and effective treatments that greatly improve a woman's chances of becoming pregnant.
Childlessness is mainly of two types. These types include:
Primary or Primary: This type of infertility occurs when a woman who has never been able to become pregnant. Who is not able to conceive even after one year of not using birth control and trying continuously.
Secondary: The condition of secondary infertility is said when a woman is not able to get pregnant again after at least one successful pregnancy.
Causes:In order to become pregnant, all stages of ovulation and fertilization must occur correctly. Sometimes the problems that cause couples to be infertile are present at birth, and sometimes they develop later in life. The reason for infertility is sometimes due to one or both the partners. Sometimes one or both the partners may be affected by it. Sometimes no reason can be found.
Causes of female infertility include:
Ovulation disorders, which affect the release of an egg from the ovary. These include hormonal disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome. Hyperprolactinemia, a condition in which you have too much prolactin -- the hormone that stimulates breast milk production -- can also interfere with ovulation. Either too much thyroid hormone (hyperthyroidism) or too little (hypothyroidism) can affect the menstrual cycle.
or may cause infertility. Other underlying causes may include too much exercise, eating disorders, or tumors.
Abnormalities of the uterus or cervix, including abnormalities with the cervix, polyps in the uterus, or a noncancerous tumor in the wall of the uterus (uterine fibroids) that may block the fallopian tubes or prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus can be the reason.
Endometriosis, which occurs when endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus, can affect the function of the ovaries, uterus, and fallopian tubes.
Primary ovarian insufficiency (early menopause), when the ovaries stop working and menstruation ceases before the age of 40. Although the cause is often unknown, some factors have been associated with early menopause, including diseases of the immune system, certain genetic conditions such as Turner syndrome, or being a carrier of it. Fragile X syndrome, and radiation or chemotherapy treatment.
Pelvic adhesions, bands of scar tissue that bind organs together that can form after pelvic infection, appendicitis, endometriosis, or abdominal or pelvic surgery.
Cancer and its treatment. Some cancers – especially reproductive cancers – often impair female fertility. Both radiation and chemotherapy can affect fertility.
