What are the causes of sex related diseases in women?
The causes
of sexual diseases in women can be divided into two parts, first physical and
second psychological. Due to both these reasons, any woman can get sexually
transmitted disease at any point of time in her life. Let us know about this in
detail:-
Psychological
causes of sexual dysfunction in women:
Physical or sexual abuse – If a person has faced any physical or
sexual abuse in the past, then they are afraid to have sex, due to which they
may have to face sex related problems. This situation is most common with
women, because at some point in life, women have to face sexual abuse.
Unhappy with the partner – It has been seen many times that if women
do not like their partner, then due to that also they can face sex related
problems. In this, if the man does not know how to give orgasm to the woman,
even then the woman does not have the desire to establish a relationship with
the partner.
Depression –
When someone suffers from depression, it causes the person to lose interest in
all the things that he used to be interested in, including sex. There can be a
problem of premature ejaculation due to depression in men, while women do not
have the desire to have sex.
Stress
– It can be difficult to concentrate on enjoying sex when there is stress from
home, work, property or anything. According to the studies conducted in this
regard, the increase in the level of stress hormone cortisol in the body
reduces the sex drive.
Physical causes of sexual
dysfunction in women:
Gynecological diseases – If a woman is suffering from diseases like
endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and vaginitis continuously, then
she will have pain during sex and this will increase her sexual diseases. Women
most commonly suffer from sexually transmitted diseases when they have
vaginismus, a condition that causes spasms of the muscles of the vagina, which
can also make intercourse uncomfortable.
Hormonal changes
– Women have the most hormonal changes due to which they have to face more sex
related diseases. When there is hormonal change or imbalance in the body, the
woman has to face problems like vaginal dryness or vaginal atrophy. Due to both
these diseases, a woman may feel pain due to having sex. Low estrogen levels
can also reduce feeling in the genitals. Menopause, surgery and pregnancy can
affect hormone levels.
Blood flow disorders – If the blood vessels do not work properly
due to improper blood flow to some parts of the female reproductive system,
then they can get sexual dysfunction. The vagina, clitoris and labia need
increased blood flow for sexual arousal, but due to lack of this, the woman has
to face sexual dysfunction.
Medicines and Treatment – Many a time taking a particular medicine
can cause a woman to have sex related diseases, due to which there can be
problems in the vulva as well. Women have to face more sexually transmitted
diseases due to dialysis, chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Apart from
this, women can face sex-related problems due to antidepressants,
blood-thinning drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs and selective serotonin uptake
inhibitor (SSRI) drugs.
Special health conditions – Many health conditions can affect your
ability to enjoy sex. These include diabetes, arthritis, multiple sclerosis,
and heart disease. Drug addiction or drinking too much alcohol can also cause
sexual dysfunction in a woman.
